blogger is a bit touchy when it comes to ads in posts, it depends a bit on the template but this works for just about all of them.

at the point in the text that you want the add place this code

all the ad code..whether it’s adsense or an ad

you can change the float:right to float:left or float:center to give the look you are after. also you can change the margin to more or less i have just found that 5px seems to work pretty well. depending on your template the padding doesn’t always work properly.

Description (including timeline of any changes made): Hi, my site was indexed, and kept updating, and increasing traffic on 12-19-2010, however on 12-20-2010 it immediately became <10, and has stayed the same since then. Not only this, but my site was #1 when I searched "vardox" and now it is #2 when I search "vardox.com"
I have not changed any settings, and none of my recent blog posts have been indexed. I have a robot.txt file that allows all bots, I have a sitemap.xml, I even have my site with a plugin that helps my posts become easily readable by google (which was working, and used before 12-19-2010). I allow google to index my pages, so why is my website not being updated, or posted/indexed by google?

Props if you can help me solve this same problem for yahoo :P (and yes, I do have a yahoo site key)

Where should I start?

For simplicity, I’ll list a series of points:
- First of all, there’s no such thing as a setting which would affect Google. They have their own rules and they keep them private.
- The reason the alternate spelling result comes first is because their site has greater value in the eyes of their bot than yours. It probably considers your site’s name to be a spelling error.
- You have only 2 incoming links.
- Your choice of title and meta description and keywords will unlikely bring anyone to your blog from search engines.
- Only your home page has meta tags.
- You place so many “stupid” tags on your posts that you lose the little keyword relevance you could have had.

And the list goes on and on.

Learn SEO and post good contents and within a few years you may become the best blogger in your town. (comment regarding your meta description; being pretentious is not good for you as it alters your perception of reality, thus limiting your efforts)

Ok. Think I figured out how to do it for blogger. First, make shortcuts for each picture on the desktop. Second, import pictures into Flicker. Third, create a feed in Flicker. Forth, import Flicker feed into slide-show gadget feature of blogger. Whew. Tell me there’s an easier way to do this!

Anyway, you can see the results at http://decorforless.blogspot.com/. I do still want to re-size the pictures, though, to make it look better. Anyone know how to do that?
