ok. i have this website called www.zestygaming.enjin.com for questions about any video game and i want to know how to make a quick link to a website in my comment. So how do you get the website link underlined so when you click on it it’ll take you straight to the website?
the first answer its partly correct but how do i make it so you only need to click on it

<p><a href="URL path to external link" title="Mouseover Description">Link Text Description</a></p>

You can change the "p" tags to div tags and style as needed to make a nice div container for links.

Sites that use BBCode:

Text Link only:

[url="URL path to external link"]Link Text Description[/url]

BBCode Guide:

How do I add a link to my website that allow people to download a file?

I need to add into the html on my website a link that allows people download a document to fill out prior to an appointment. Is there somewhere online that can walk me through it?

If you’re using plain HTML, just use the format <a href="FILE_URL_HERE.EXT">TEXT HERE</a> .

If you mean that it’s a document the browser would normally open, but you want it to be a force-download (i.e. the user is suggested it be saved to their hard drive, even though the browser can handle it), you’ll need some PHP. If this is what you want, check out this site: http://elouai.com/force-download.php The little textarea has the code you’re looking for in this case.

How can I increase the traffic on my website?’?

Please advise me how can I increase traffic in my website!

You are invited to read the following strategy.

With 85% of Internet surfers using search engines/directories such as Google, Yahoo or MSN to find goods and services, it is very important to promote one’s website by first publishing one’s domain named website on these major search directories. To publish your website’s domain name for FREE at Google’s search directory, visit "http://google.com/addurl/?continue=/addurl" and fill-in the form. In another way, Google, Yahoo or MSN provide a Yellow Pages kind of advertisement for every website according to a set of ranking protocols. And there’s where web designers and search engine optimizers play an critical role in marketing websites which in turn, display goods and services to be discovered [via search directories] by the rest of the world. The greater the appearance or presence that one’s website can generate on search directories, the greater number of customers will accordingly visitor one’s website.

As for the cost to market one’s website via the Internet and more particularly — search directories, will depend initially with the proper design of webpages and the proper placement of metatags which are: <Title>, <Description> and <Keywords>.

A searchable <Title> would be "[name of the goods/services - a generic domain name is okay unless you own a well-know brand], [city], [state - postal abbreviation]" — up to 65 characters and spaces. The <Description> would be up to 20 words comprising a complete readable sentence which promotes interest in your business, i.e., "We sell quality _____ at a reasonable price, etc." And <keywords> would consist of 12-15 compound plural words separated by commas, i.e., "cars, planes, transportation, etc."

In conclusion, webpages can either be rather straightforward using only HTML text or be crafted totally as a graphic Flash configuration. Either way, care should be taken to complete the Properties entries for Title, Description and Keywords so that there is something that search robots can index. The more one is educated in crafting effective webpages along with metatag placement, the less will be spent to hire third-party consultants to assist you in this matter.

To demonstrate how search engines/directories work, go to Yahoo.com and type in the following search query: "pizza downtown los angeles." [Note: do not include the quotes (").] Again, this is a very generic query which means you want to order a "pizza" from "downtown" and in what city — "Los Angeles." Sounds fairly simple and then hit Enter. In a moment or two, there will appear some 1.3 million search results and among the top Five rankings will be a business called "Pizza Next Door, etc." The significance of this demonstration is to illustrate that most Interest shoppers will discover "Pizza Next Door," forthright because of its high web presence and ranking within the Top Five. So these shoppers are more or less likely to patronize this pizza establishment and hopefully in the long term; validate the owner and his family as having a profitable Internet enterprise.

Good luck!

Will Web Traffic Help get people to buy my ebooks?

I bought web traffic 1,000 im wondering will it help make people by my ebooks its a simple web site on freewebs you can check it out and tell me. freewebs.com/hotebooks
Where can i put the ebooks up and sell them?
Any clue where i can get hacker safe thing or something that can make them trust the site? Im low on cash so im trying to sell these ebooks i put all my money into it.

I’m not sure what ‘web traffic 1,000′ is – does that mean you bought 1,000 visitors to your website? If this is the case… I’m sorry to say that you’ve likely wasted that money. Buying traffic rarely leads to anything except wasted bandwidth….

As for your website, I would skip over getting any seals or anything to enhance the trustworthiness of your website. Your "website" is hosted in a subfolder of a free hosting service, that does not build credibility.

I understand that not having a lot of money can really set you back, but I don’t think you should expect any great results with your setup.

I think something that would help you out immensely is this, go to the warrior forum:

http://warriorforum.com

signup and read around. You can also post a thread there asking for advice; there are many self-made multi-millionaires and other online successes there that are willing to help out the "little guy". For the most part, this is a very newbie-friendly forum.

You could try to do everything on your own, by starting from scratch, or you could seek out help from people who work in the field and make money, many of them starting out from a place where they didn’t have two nickles to rub together.

That’s my advice… hopefully it’ll help you out.

Can anyone please advise on how i can get to grips with advertising rates, website traffic estimates etc?

I have a really good idea for a useful website and would want to sell ad space to at least pay for the site and hopefully do a bit better. I know there are cpm rates (cpc etc) but are there any "benchmark" criteria advertisers look to establish or what "traffic" estimates would i have to show them? Many thanks for any responses.

We sell advertising space on our website – both banners via CPM, sponsored text links, and newsletter advertising. We have been successful at it, and we even have waiting lists for advertisers.

In our experience, here are what advertisers are looking for when choosing sites to use for their advertising:

1. Who are the visitors = It is important for advertisers to know whether your site’s visitors are what they are after. More than just traffic numbers, they want to know whether they can get targeted traffic from your website.

2. Traffic levels = Advertisers will often ask you how many visitors/pageviews/uniques you get in a month. Some will go to Alexa.com to check your traffic standing (not accurate, but many see it as a good guide). If you are selling banners through CPM rates for example, they will normally ask you how long it willtake you to show the 20,000 ad impressions they ordered (or how many they ordered).

3. Your rates = how comparable your rates are with others.

4. Customer service = advertisers want QUICK support from sites they want to advertise on. You need to be quick to respond to their emails, whether inquiring for your media kit or asking your ad rates or checking the performance of their ad campaigns.

The key to understand is that advertisers will always look for metrics to help them gauge the ROI they can get from advertising in your website. If they don’t think your site will not give them a good ROI, they will not advertise or renew their advertising on your site
